Terms of Service

Purpose

These Terms of Service (ToS) govern access to and use of the Fundamental platform, available at fundamental.fr. By using the platform, you unconditionally accept all of these terms.

Fundamental is a crowdfunding platform that allows any registered user to create projects and raise funds from the community.

Registration and user account

Registration is open to any adult individual. To create an account, the user must provide a valid email address, first name, last name and a password of at least 6 characters.

The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any access to the platform using their credentials is presumed to be made by them.

Project creation and publication

Any registered and validated user can create a project by filling out the dedicated form (title, description, funding goal, dates, image). Projects are subject to administrator validation before publication on the platform.

The project creator is solely responsible for published content (texts, images, descriptions). They commit to providing accurate information and not publishing illegal, misleading content or content infringing on the rights of third parties.

Funding and payments

Financial contributions are made through the payment provider Stripe. By contributing to a project, the user accepts Stripe's terms of use.

The rewards offered by project creators are commitments between the creator and the contributor. Fundamental is not a party to this relationship and does not guarantee delivery of rewards.

User content

Users can publish content on the platform through projects and the chat system. By publishing content, the user guarantees they hold the rights and grants Fundamental a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.

Moderation

Fundamental administrators reserve the right to moderate, suspend or delete any content or user account that does not comply with these ToS, without notice or compensation.

The project owner can moderate messages in their discussion space. Administrators have global moderation rights across the platform, assisted by an artificial intelligence system for automatic detection of suspicious content.

Limitation of liability

Fundamental is a university prototype developed for educational purposes. The platform is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind as to its availability, functionality or accuracy of information.

Fundamental cannot be held responsible for disputes between project creators and contributors, nor for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform.

Intellectual property

All elements of the platform (design, logo, source code, texts) are the property of the L3AH1 group of Université Paris Cité. Any reproduction, distribution or use without prior authorization is prohibited.

Changes to the ToS

Fundamental reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Users will be informed of any significant changes by email or notification on the platform. Continued use of the platform after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
